Limited seating is still available for opening day at Busch Stadium to see the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Diego Padres on March 31, but it doesn't come cheap. Bleachers seats are just over $54 and the prices go up from there. These tickets are available via the Cardinals Major League Baseball website . Illinois Cardinals fans, like me, know that the best way to get to the stadium is to ride the Redbird Express or Metrolink from the Illinois side of the Mississippi.

Baseball is officially back. Well, almost, but you can be sure that Opening Day is NOT the day to miss. There is something almost magical about Opening Day in the Major Leagues. The San Francisco Giants won't hold their home opener until Friday, April 8, against the St. Louis Cardinals but it is still considered their Opening Day, even though they play two away series and officially open the season Thursday, March 31, in Los Angeles against their hated rival, the Dodgers.
