The St. Louis Cardinals officially start spring training when they play the Florida Marlins Feb. 28 in Jupiter, Florida. I was a Cardinals' fan in utero as I was born in St. Louis. My love for the Cardinals has never diminished even through the quasi-lean years between 1982 and 2006. Spring training for 2011 will be bittersweet for many Cardinals' fans. Albert Pujols, the best all-around player in Major League Baseball, has set a deadline of the beginning of spring training for contract talks if the Cards want to keep him.
